"Masculin/Masculin" Exhibition

masculin/masculin

First: that you are a single or in couple, heterosexual or gay and that you have no complex of nudity so this exhibition organized by the “Musée d’Orsay” is made for you.

Secondly: You're fed up with seeing all the time the same things and you are a fan of exhibitions which are out of the ordinary so this is for you.

Indeed if the naked female body was painted and exhibited in many different ways since centuries ago, the male nudity has always been a taboo subject.

So for the first time in France, the exhibition of male nudity at the Orsay Museum breaks all the rules to make people feel more comfortable with the male body.

In relation with the exhibition “nackte Männer” in Vienna, the Male/ Male Naked Man goes through art from 1800 to nowadays mixing up modern art with plastics paintings and ancient times art.

The Orsay museum selected and put together a large sample of paintings, sculptures and photographs tracing the male nudity history through different periods.

If you are interested and curious to discover this exhibition, get carried away to the Orsay Museum: the exhibition is available from September the 24th to January the 2nd.

The opening hours are: from 9:30 am to 18:00 pm.
